About Me

Hello Mommies and Daddies,

My name is Martina ("Miss Tina") and I was born and raised in Gothenburg/Sweden, to a Swedish mother and German Father. After having graduated College in Sweden, I decided to try my luck, working in Germany. Four years later, I ran in to my now husband, a former US Marine, then a soldier in the US army, who was stationed in Germany. After a few years of dating, he finally asked the question and we got married. One year later, our first daughter was born in Ft. Hood Texas. Two years later our Second Daughter came to the world, born in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Now with my husband working for the Government in D.C., we ended up settling in Northern Virginia, growing our roots here. We have come to love and cherish every moment, and feel right at home where we are.

Not only am I equipped with real life experience as a loving mother of two, but for more than 20 + Years I have worked within the child care field, covering all aspects working as, a Nanny, a Babysitter and as a Child care provider, both in family day care settings as well as in Day Care Centers. Being a big nurturer at heart, it came naturally for me, to work within this field.

Coming from a big family, I started early in life, watching over my siblings, cousins and even our family friend's children. As I grew older, I realized what a joy it brings me to watch over the little ones, and what an honor it is to take part in their lives, seeing them grow and become successful citizen in our society. 

As a parent of two, I also understand how important our children are, and the activities they partake in.

My experience has taught me that children need to be looked after properly at every stage in their daily routine, in fact how we take care of them today, decides how their tomorrow is going to shape.

I work hard to stay on the same page with the parents to make sure that every child will receive the best care they need. The way I see it, is that we are a team and together we will make sure that your child will become successful. Every child that walks through my door, has been and always will be a part of my big happy family, and they will feel at home, knowing that they are cared for and loved. No child will ever get left behind or forgotten during my care. I grow to love every single last one of them as my own.

Important Note: My family is a non smoking, non drinking family. However I do own a very mellow, relaxed and super friendly cat who is great with children and a super goofy dog, who is a social butterfly that I always keep under controlled settings.
